Anna is a Cuban-Ukrainian and Miami-raised cellist currently living in the Netherlands. She is involved in chamber and early music as well as contemporary and improvised music.

After studying at the Juilliard School (New York) and London’s Royal College of Music, Anna received a Fulbright Grant to study improvisation at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. There, under the guidance of Lucia Swarts, she immersed herself in early music and the historical cello.

Anna performs regularly with international orchestras (including the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra, Odessa Philharmonic and the New World Symphony Orchestrer), in major concert halls including the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Bozar in Brussels, Carnegie Hall in New York and Wigmore Hall in London. She recently performed his Beethoven’s Triple Concerto at the Arte Solidale Festival and Seung-Won Oh’s Concerto for cello and voice with the Ensemble Academy. She has received several prestigious awards, including Juilliard’s John Erskine Prize, KC’s Fock Medal and the Amsterdam Cello Biennale’s Start in Splendor Prize.

In the Netherlands in recent years, Anne has performed with various ensembles devoted to historical performance practice, including the Dutch Bach Society and the Orchestra of the 18th Century. She is also a regular member of the Chekhov Trio piano trio.
