The core members of Heliosfero perform in varying compositions, as soloists, chamber ensembles or small orchestras. With its concerts, the ensemble aims to highlight the diversity of chamber music, instruments and repertoire from the 1600s to the present. The ensemble plays on instruments from the period in which the music was composed, or on copies thereof as faithfully as possible.
Heliosfero does not consider historically informed performance practice to be limited to "early music" and aims to push the boundaries of what is possible.
The ensemble combines performances in traditional concert halls with concerts in more intimate settings such as public galleries, cafes and private homes, and at special locations such as hospitals, prisons and business premises. In this way we also want to reach people who would otherwise not come into contact with our music.
We hope to expand our audience by live streaming each performance and/or providing worldwide access on YouTube or other media platforms.
